Anthropometric and cardio-metabolic trait variation and genetic associations in sub-Saharan Africa

This study presents analyses of phenotype distributions, phenotype/ancestry correlations, and genotype/phenotype associations for 27 anthropometric and cardiometabolic traits in a cohort drawn from diverse ethnolinguistic and subsistence groups across six sub-Saharan African countries. Our results inform the phenotypic variability and genetic basis of these traits in African ancestries.
